Consultation on reducing saturated fat and greater choice of portion sizes for snacks, 02/12/09 - 09/03/10 [E/NI/S/W]

The Food Standards Agency is consulting on its proposed recommendations to the food industry to reduce saturated fat and to increase the availability of healthier options and smaller portion sizes in savoury snacks. Consultation to 9 March 2010.

This consultation focuses on the reformulation, promotion and portion size elements of the Agency’s final saturated fat and energy intake programme, and proposes voluntary recommendations for industry for reductions in levels of fat and saturated fat in meat products, increased availability of smaller single-portion savoury snacks, and increased promotion of lower-fat products including dairy products.
