The Scottish Government has published information on protecting children from sexual offences and abuse.

This includes webpages on the current pilot of community disclosure of sex offenders in Tayside, preventing abuse among children and young people and what people need to know to prevent sexual offences.

In the community disclosure pilot parents, carers or guardians of children under 18 years old can make a formal request for the disclosure of information about a named person who may have contact with their child if they are concerned that he or she might be a registered child sexual offender.

The website lists age-appropraite sexual behaviour for various age groups, and what constitutes a sexual offences against a child or young person.
