Overnight Stays Leaflets, 20/03/09 [S]

The Scottish Government has published three leaflets on overnight stays for looked after children, one for host families, one for ages 8-12 and one for ages 12-16.

These have been produced to help children and families understand what rules and arrangements need to be followed for sleepovers.

This includes advice such as taking a mobile phone to sleepovers and how to challenge refusal of an overnight stay.

For the host family this includes information on what 'looked after' means and the procedure which is followed.

For full details see the leaflets which are available from the Scottish Government website.
