Amendment to frequency of inspection for certain Care Services: Consultation analysis, 09/02/07 [S]

Analysis of the consultation on the proposal to vary the minimum frequency of inspection of certain care services by the Care Commission. Following consideration of the responses the Scottish Executive have decided that the frequency of inspection of certain care services by the Care Commission will be amended as proposed.

Currently all daycare services for children, childcare agencies and nurse agencies must be inspected at least once a year. The amendment will mean that the minimum frequency of inspection by the Care Commission for daycare services provided only for children aged 3 and over, all childcare agencies and all nurse agencies will be reduced from once a year to at least once every 2 years.
