Subordinate Legislation Committee discusses Additional Support for Learning rules and regulations, 08/11/05 [S]

During its meeting on 8 November 2005 the Subordinate Legislation Committee considered Scottish Executive responses to points they had risen in relation to rules and regulations with regards to the Education (Additional Support for Learning) Act 2004.

The Committee agreed to raise points on several subordinate legislation items in relation to wording and rewording.  The Committee also raised points about the payment of expenses for people attending Additional Support Needs Tribunals.

The subordinate legislation that the Committee agreed to raise point on was:

  • the Additional Support Needs Tribunals for Scotland (Practice and Procedure) Rules 2005
  • the Additional Support for Learning (Placing Requests and Deemed Decisions) (Scotland) Regulations 2005
  • the Education (Additional Support for Learning) (Scotland) Act 2004 (Transitional and Savings Provisions) Order 2005
  • the Additional Support for Learning (Co-ordinated Support Plan) (Scotland) Amendment Regulations 2005
  • the National Assistance (Assessment of Resources) Amendment (No.2) (Scotland) Regulations 2005
