Education Committee's report on the subordinate legislation in the ASL Regulations, 17/06/05 [S]

The Education Committee has released its report to Parliament on the subordinate legislation in the Additional Support for Learning Regulations.

The Committee commented on the time period for an education authority to request help from an appropriate agency. The Committee considers that the ten week period should start from when the parents ask for an assessment to be made by the education authority, not when the education authority requests help from an appropriate agency. The Executive assured that the regulations and timescales would be reviewed.

The full report is available on the Education Committee pages of the Scottish Parliament website.
