Written Answer given in response to Richard Lyle's (SNP) question asking the Scottish Government what the average cost is of delivering one hour of childcare in a (a) state and (b) private nursery.
The Minister for Children and Young People, Fiona McLeod, replied
that the Scottish Local Government Financial Statistics published each February set out
final outturn gross revenue expenditure by Scottish local authorities on preschool education. The latest
publication covers gross revenue expenditure for the financial year 2013-14 and is available at the
