Taliban's School Attack in Peshawar Motion, 18/11/14 [S]

Motion lodged before the Scottish Parliament on 18 December 2014 by Hanzala Malik (Lab) on the Talibanís Attack in a School in Peshawar.† The full text of the motion reads:

That the Parliament condemns the actions of the Talibanís attack in a school in Peshawar, where it opened fire on children and staff members; understands that seven Taliban attackers wearing bomb vests entered the public school and opened fire on children as young as five; understands that at least 132 children and nine staff members are already dead and that a further 125 children were wounded before all seven attackers were killed; believes this to be the deadliest attack by the Taliban; recognises the deep sadness of the Pakistani community in Glasgow and the rest of Scotland; supports the Pakistan government and its agencies in bringing these attackersí network to justice, and offers its deepest condolences, thoughts and prayers to the families of the children and teachers.
