Scottish Women's Employment Motion, 9/12/14 [S]

Motion lodged before the Scottish Parliament on 9 December 2014 by Christina McKelvie (SNP) on Scottish Women’s Employment.  The full text of the motion reads:

That the Parliament welcomes the 2013 statistics on women’s employment, which show that the employment rate for women with dependent children was 72.1% in Scotland compared with 68.6% in the UK; understands that the figures show a record number of women in employment in Scotland; believes that the Scottish Government is committed to improving and increasing high-quality early learning and childcare and has already invested £329 million to expand it, and hopes that the women’s employment rate will continue to grow.
