Children 1st Wishes for Scotlandís Children Motion, 19/11/14 [S]

Motion lodged before the Scottish Parliament on 19 November 2014 by Sarah Boyack (Lab) on Wishes for Scotlandís Children Report by Children 1st.†

The full text of the motion reads:

That the Parliament welcomes the publication of Wishes for Scotlandís Children by Children 1st to mark World Day for the Prevention of Abuse and Violence against Children on 19 November 2014; notes that the report contains over 600 wishes from vulnerable children, young people and families from all over Scotland; understands that these wishes show how many children are still missing out on their childhoods and are growing up in fear of abuse and violence, yet they also show how aspirational Scotlandís children are for themselves and for children around the world; commends Children 1st in its 130th anniversary year for continuing to be a strong public voice for Scotlandís vulnerable children, and encourages everyone to do more to ensure that all of Scotlandís children enjoy happy, healthy, safe and secure childhoods.
