National Deaf Children’s Society Motion, 27/10/14 [S]

Motion lodged before the Scottish Parliament on 27 October 2014 by Sandra White (SNP) in regards to the National Deaf Children’s Society Scotland.

The full text of the motion reads:

That the Parliament congratulates the National Deaf Children’s Society (NDCS) Scotland on its recent award of what it considers a tremendous £49,844 grant from the Big Lottery Fund’s Young Start programme; considers that the society is wholly dedicated to alleviating barriers challenging deaf children and young people by providing emotional and practical support through a free helpline, a network of trained workers and other support services; understands that this grant will be used by NDCS Scotland to run courses and swimming sessions in clubs as well as organising a deaf swimming gala to promote the cause and provide competitive opportunities, and wishes it every success with this venture.
