Universal Credit Ministerial Statement, 10/12/13 [E/S/W]

Oral statement by Iain Duncan Smith, Work and Pensions Secretary, outlining the government’s plans for the next stage of implementing universal credit.

Speaking for the opposition, Rachel Reeves asked Mr Duncan Smith when he had learned that there would be a delay of two years. She said “The Secretary of State is in denial. Doubtless, he will deny that he is in denial in a moment’s time. But we all know that until he fesses up, no one will have any confidence in his management of this programme”.
