Taking Children into care Debate, 05/12/13 [S]

During its meeting of 5 December 2013 the Scottish Parliament debated decision making on whether to take children into care. Stewart Maxwell (SNP) opened the debate for the Education and Culture Committee.

Issues discussed in the debate included the named person and the children's hearings system.

At decision time the following motion was agreed to:

That the Parliament notes the conclusions and recommendations contained in the Education and Culture Committee’s 10th Report, 2013 (Session 4): Report on decision making on whether to take children into care (SP Paper 386).
