Staying Put Scotland: Providing care leavers with connectness and belonging, 22/10/13 [S]

The Scottish Government has published information on an approach which will enable young people to enjoy a transition from care to adulthood that more resembles that which is experienced by their non-looked after peers.

Care planning decisions should be based on meeting the needs of individual care leavers rather than being based on age or legal status. By following the principles of the guidance, corporate parents will help to achieve that aim and create the conditions for improved practice and positive outcomes.

For full details see the Scottish Government website.
