The Scottish Government has published a summary of you can expect when you use NHS services and receive NHS care in Scotland.

The Charter is in 3 parts:

  • Part 1 of the Charter is set out under six headings covering Access, Communication and participation, Confidentiality, Respect, Safety and Feedback and complaints.
  • Part 2 explains what to do if you feel your rights have not been respected.
  • Part 3 tells you how you can find out more and gives details of information, help and advice that is available.
