School Leavers Written Answer, 07/11/11 [S]

Written Answer given in response to Siobhan McMahon's (Lab) question asking the Scottish Executive what percentage of school leavers went into training, what was immediately (a) employed and (b) unemployed, in each of the last five years, broken down by (a) local authority and (b) Scottish Index of Multiple Deprivation.

The Cabinet Secretary for Education and Lifelong Learning, Michael Russell, replied that information on the percentage of school leavers who went into an initial destination of training, in each of the last five years, by local authority, is published in table 2.3 of a supplementary data set on the Scottish Government website.

Information on the initial destination for 2009-10 school leavers by Scottish Index of Multiple Deprivation is published in table 3.3 of the above supplementary dataset. Information on the initial destination for school leavers from 2006-07 to 2008-09 by Scottish Index of Multiple Deprivation is published in separate documents.

For the full answer to this and other questions see the Scottish Parliament Written Answer Report 7 November 2011 which is available from the Scottish Parliament website.
