Evaluation of One Scotland anti racism campaign, 25/11/05 [S]
Scottish Executive evaluation of the campaign to raise awareness of racism among the general public, highlight its negative impact and promote the valuable contributions that other cultures make to Scottish society. The campaign was launched in September 2002 and this is Wave 5 of the evaluation.

Children of asylum seekers debate, 22/09/05 [S]
A debate on the children of asylum seekers was held in Parliament on 22 September 2005. The motion laid by Robin Harper (Green) raised concern about the way that families are deported and the impact that the experience has on children. During debate he said that the current immigration process disregards children's rights.

Removal of Asylum Seekers' Children Motion, 05/09/05 [S]
Motion lodged before Parliament on 5 September 2005 calling on the Scottish Executive to ensure that all asylum and immigration policy is consistent with the UNCRC. It congratulates the Commissioner for Children and Young People for raising the issue of the removal and detention of children prior to deportation and its violation of the principles of the UNCRC and calls for a repeal of Section 9 of the Asylum and Immigration Act 2004.

Forced marriage consultation, 01/09/05 [S]
Home Office consultation seeking your views on creating a specific criminal offence relating to forced marriage. This would help to prevent young people being forced into marriage without their consent. Views are also sought on enforcement issues and what the penalties of such an offence should be. Consultation to 5 December 2005.

Racial Offences Written Answer, 09/08/05 [S]
Written Answer given in response to Christine Grahame's (SNP) question asking the Scottish Executive how many charges involving a statutory racial offence and separately racial aggravation were referred to the Reporter to the Children’s Panel in each year since 2002-03.

This part of the research was conducted following phase 3 of the campaign which focussed on racism in the workplace and amongst young people.
